Laura & Sonny Pulver

Gary “Sonny” Lee Pulver was born to James and Minnie Pulver of the Pulver ranch on Laramie Peak. Sonny served in the Army 1967-70 and was stationed in Germany for most of his service. After his tour, Sonny returned home to Wyoming and landed outside of Casper for a ranch job breaking colts, doctoring cattle, and performing ranch duties. He then had a fence building business in Platte County before taking a job for the Key Bar Ranch outside of Glendo. He married Laura Irene Mole in 1985 and they have been working the ranches together ever since. Laura was born in Laramie to John and Elizabeth Mole of Iron Mountain. In 1978, she got a job on the Carpenter ranch in Ten Sleep. Laura worked for the Carpenter until 1982 when she moved over to the Otter Creek Grazing Association full time. In 1987, Sonny and Laura made the move to True Ranches where they worked for 22 years. Sonny retired from True Ranches in 2009. They then worked on other ranches before 2019 when they came full circle and took a caretaker’s job back where they started, at the Key Bar Ranch.
