Robert Britain, known to most as Bobby J., was down in the family barns riding and working horses from the time he was young. He graduated from high school and went to work at the Lost Cabin Gas Plant to help with the ranch. Even when he was tired from a long day at work, he would still go and see the horses every night. Around 1998, Bobby J. went to work for the Moncrief Oil Company as a ranch hand. In addition to Moncrief, he still worked the family ranch. He rides for numerous people, as well as riding on his own. Whether it’s around the ranch, working a horse, or up on the mountain checking cows, he is known around Fremont County for always being willing to lend a hand and being a generally good guy. He is great around all livestock and has a great attitude about everything. He loves to rope and participate in ranch rodeos. Bob retired from Moncrief in 2014. He bought a farm by Midvale in 2013, and despite all his bumps and bruises, has been running the farm and ranch this whole time. Despite him working so hard, Bobby J. raised two boys to men and now has a grandson.
