Robert C. Rabou

From the young age of five, Bob Rabou started to learn all aspects of feeding, doctoring, and caring for cattle and horses. He made his living working the land, growing crops to feed the cattle they raised, and spent many hours in the saddle. From a very young age he learned to sit a horse and was roping and dragging calves to the fire at brandings. He also broke many horses and could stick in the saddle like none other. He had a keen eye for finding a great horse and rarely missed when swinging a loop, even on a dead run. He always said pasture roping is much different than arena roping especially in a high Wyoming wind. He was even chosen to be on one of the first Crystalyx commercials, after the ranch introduced it to the herd. Not only could he do the farming and the ranching but he could mechanic on the machinery and loved to hunt. He was a proud member of the NRA, loved to trap shoot, and in his prime could break 100 clay pigeons in a row. He also enjoyed trapping and reloading ammunition. Most Sundays he was in a church pew where he talked to God. Bob Rabou was a man of integrity, a family man who loved his wife Norma of fifty years.
